Writer for children and young people
Documentary and fiction books for children and young adults are part of my output. Some have been published by various Latin American publishing houses, others are included in anthologies or magazines. So many trips, so many experiences, so many stories heard, so eager to tell them! Who can keep these adventures in their pocket? Not me. For me, they become an obsession. Fortunately, I'm organized and jealously guard my travel notebooks. My memory is fragile. I want to have everything recorded. So, when writing a story, a novel, an article, or a talk about my work as a promoter, I turn to photos, videos, notes, addresses, and maps: they are my travel logs, the traces of my journeys.
My book production has several aspects. On the one hand, there are books about librarians, teachers, and readers, with stories collected from the workshops I lead in communities.
I've also written about the daily lives of children and a couple of books with animal protagonists. Colombia's history, geography, and culture are reflected in some of the titles.
The "Expedition" collection consists of reading guides to introduce children to the great works and authors of world literature. Below, you will find a catalog of these publications, books that have been translated into other languages, books I have co-authored on Public and School Libraries, booklets for a health program, books I have translated from Portuguese, my second language, articles on Colombian artists, and a few "fragments" published here and there.
